Dilek Ince is a Los Angeles–based writer and director born and raised in Turkey. She won the Directors Guild of America Award,  and one of her films was shortlisted for the BAFTA Film Awards. Her work has won numerous awards and screened at Academy Award–qualifying film festivals.

Ince is a Hollywood Foreign Press fellow and scholar. Ince was selected for the AWD’s Directing the Actor Lab by Jennifer Warren and the Black Magic Collective Future Women of TV Fellowship. She is currently a BAFTA Newcomer Director based in Los Angeles.

Ince began her filmmaking journey at the age of 10. Starting her career as an Assistant Director in TV, she later expanded her skillset by working as a Director of Photography and Technical Director, collaborating with numerous industry professionals, including Oscar-nominated producer Carthew Neal, known for producing "Jojo Rabbit." Under the guidance of esteemed actor and director Robert Townsend, Ince has honed her craft, now focusing primarily on directing to bring her distinct vision to the screen.

Ince’s screenplay “Amal” won the ARRI Grant and a Caucus Foundation Production Grant. It was also selected and awarded by Academy Award-qualifying festivals, such as the Atlanta Film Festival Screenwriting and Nashville Film Festival Screenwriting competitions, and won the Best Short Film award at the Savannah Film Festival. Her screenplay placed in the top 1% of The Red List on Coverfly.

Ince earned her MFA in screenwriting from California State University, Northridge, and her BA in film production. She completed the directing and cinematography program at UCLA. 

Before moving to the United States, Ince worked in film and television with Sundance-winning Turkish director Rasit Çelikezer.
